11-year-old boy dies after dirt bike accident at Florida motocross track, police say

An 11-year-old boy from Florida boy died from injuries sustained during a dirt bike accident on Sunday, authorities said.
At a Dade City motocross track, several individuals were practicing on Sunday morning, according to the Dade City Police Department. The boy crashed his 85cc dirt bike after completing a jump over a hill, but was able to get back onto his bike.
After that, another rider jumped over the same hill and collided with the boy, striking his upper body.
Pasco County Fire Rescue transported the boy by helicopter to a nearby hospital due to the severity of the boy's injuries. He was then pronounced dead from his injuries, according to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the Dade City Police Department.
